Being a blend of liberal arts and professional programs they needed a more contemporary website to show the diverse curriculum and personality of the school.
The university expressed the need to show the variety of educational choices within the University. In designing the site the key points were to keep it clean, easy to navigate and provide the personality of the University. Responsive design principles were used to keep them current with web technology.
Using a parallax slider on the homepage provides the opportunity to incorporate key marketing points of the University. Some examples are educational opportunities, school values and global world knowledge.
A factor to keep in mind with the interior pages was giving each department their own style while maintaining the websites brand. There are 8 schools and colleges under the umbrella of Chapman. They are all vying for student enrollment. A template was developed with multiple layout components. These included slider choices, color schemes and content widgets.
In the end a successful launched, increase viewers, and an establishment proud of their online presence.
